Segment / Profit Center / Cost Center in Org. Structure C4C

HI

What is the purpose of marking an org. element as a Segment / Profit Center / Cost Center in C4C if it is not a financial system? The revenue & cost post in S4/ECC. No G/L entries are visible in C4C.

There are no reports that show aggregated figures based on any of these either.

Not even the Sales Revenue Report had any one of these as a characteristic.
